Congrats to you guys. Have it ready for '06. If my math is correct, the HAMB will have four tanks there then
Very freakin cool, you guy looking for a resident hangarounder and cigarette/beer mooch with very little to offer? Because I might know the guy for the job Drew
Yeah, so do we.. This is going to be fun.. Tony Bones we will have to compare notes now.. Whats your expected date to run??
Wow i want to see a tank done that sounds awsome! Do we have guys on the HAMB with these I want to see one done if we do! E mail or Pm the Pic I want to see them!!! That is so hot I have seen these on TV I just didnt Know any of these still exsisted!!! Josh
That thing looks REALLY straight. What's the history on it? War surplus, or found abandoned on an old base, or..? What kind of airplane was it set up for? WAY cool project. You guys always have something neat brewing.
Update: We have been doing a ton research and working with some very experienced Lakes Racers (who each have a red hat) to make sure we don’t go out and ‘lay an egg’. We are going to lengthen the tank to accommodate a transmission and build a chrome molly tube ch***is. A Liberty transmission and the big Winters Quickchange will be used. We are going to do the initial set up and shake down runs with a SBC for ease of attaining parts. After that (it may take a couple of years), we plan on using a vintage engine of some sort to go for a record.
what size tank is that? i wish mine was split open....i have ones with the welded seam.... good luck with it Zach
ha,ha I know that was 2 days in a row he was there unless that pic wasnt taken on Sunday. He bought a Harley so he is mobile now.
