I was going to try and use an original 32 seat with the back package tray but what the price of the package trays are when you can find them and my size 6 feet 2 incles I thought that I would forget about the tray and put in some thing else that would fit nicely. Can you guys give me some ideas of what worked for you and was reasonable thanks mercuryguy

Mine was missing, moved the seat back to make more leg room (I’m 6’1”). You can’t tell there ever was one.

I built my 5 window without the package tray and the seat slid back. Made riding in it much more comfortable. United Pacific makes a reinforcement piece add to the strength lost without the package tray. It's fairly simple and could be made in your shop.

I removed the package tray from my 5 window to accommodate my 6'4" body it really made a big difference and I kept the original seat. HRP

See if Glide has something you can use. I have a Glide seat in my 3-window and it is adjustable back and forth, seat cushion can be tilted up and back cushion can be adjusted. The Glide seat is mounted on a Tanks, Inc. bracket which is adjustable too for height and tilt.

All above , Make sure you keep the stock style Firewall , It you use a flat you will have less feet / leg room with stock seat , i will be replacing the flat firewall 32 5 w , Me personally I need that extra 2-3 inches in toe board . Even in my 32 sedan with stock firewall I moved stock seats back 3 inches

I also have a Glide Engineering seat in my Deuce roadster. It sits both lower and further back from the stock seat location. The seat bottom lift's up for storage.

I’m using a Glide Engineering seat ***embly in the ‘32 five window I’m building (see avatar) without a package tray. I’ve chopped the top 4” so I’m using the one they make for chopped cars that sits lower than their standard. It slides forward and back, the seat back tilts and the seat bottom flips up. I’m 6’ tall and I’m very comfortable with it. Sorry, no pictures.

I just made a skinner tray. I need to keep one so I could get to the deck release and window crank. It is just some oak boards cut to shape. Something needs to be there to seal off the back.

Hey guys, I went to the Tanks Inc website and can't find any seat parts at all!! Are you sure you meant Tanks Inc?? I'm using the original 32 3W seat and frame..I've cut down 90% of the back shelf on mine leaving the curved ends which still attach to the side wood framing for strength and upholstery..I plan on moving the original seat tracks back..Does anyone see any problems..
