I am working on a video of the 2007 Jalopyrama. This is an annual benefit show for charities in Maryland. I need some cool music for the video and don't have any contacts with any bands/musicians. I thought about "just using" some stuff I have in my music collection but that just seems wrong. (Plus possibly illegal? If anyone knows let me know). So I am asking if anyone would be willing to contribute a couple of songs. I would consider all the "typical" stuff (rock, punk, metal, surf, rockabilly, psychobilly) but also other styles of music like ska, reggae, jazz, funk, and DJ culture stuff. So basically anything cool. Of course you or your band will get credit in the video. If you can help let me know. I can send you a link to some of the video I have finished if you're thinking about helping out. Thanks! These were the show flyers. If you want more info on the show click below:
Just throwing this back to the front to see if any other bands would consider donating some tunes. Again this a benefit show run by volunteers, so that means no budget... I can offer credit/publicity for your band in the video. Please let me know if you can contribute.
Interesting that what he called "typical": rock, punk, metal, surf, rockabilly, psychobilly, and "other styles" ska, reggae, jazz, funk, and DJ culture stuff. What, no blues? The music that started it all, that all those genres came from. Wow.
