That Crown Royal was first produced in ‘39 I believe in honour of the Royal visit by the King and Queen. I prefer the better stuff or my “vitamin double C”...

Flash back. Crown Royal probably was a top seller in the late fifties and early sixties just for the bag. Many a kid was toting their marbles around in a Crown Royal bag unless one had a mother that could sew so then it was a denim bag from old jeans.

  19. Hahahaha

but what your showing is the FANCY stuff :D

My parents have a scrabble set , a monopoly set and poker chips up at the cottage all safe and sound in Crown Royal bags :D

Didn’t Norm Grabowski put his skulls in crown bags when he sold them ?

the bags where pretty standard up to the late 80’s into the 90’s now only sold on certain “ limited edition bottles “

I got a bottle of crown , Canadian club and 40 creek on my shelf as they all have a distinct flavour . If you enjoy it neat on ice or mixed with coke or ginger ale it’s my go to happy sauce !

Perfect weather for Canada day car shows in Sask. Not too hot or windy and the old flathead Merc ran down the highway like a trooper without overheating. Chevy II following along to the local car show where we saw some very nice vehicles. Some video of it on my channel. Canada day cars.jpg

  21. Hey @VANDENPLAS , it just occurred to me......
I know things are a bit different in the land of mooses and maple leaves, but.....
When you say "It's always a F*N Dodge, do you mean a U.S. Dodge, a Canadian Dodge (U.S. Plymouth), or Dodge as in Fargo? Also, what do you call a Pontiac, a rebadged Chevrolet, Cheviac, Pontolet? Just wondering.......
You guys DO know how to do whiskey and beer, though, I'll give you that!!!

Slightly off topic Vandenplas and I hope you don’t mind but I want to give some praise to the original Harbour Freight (‘67 in LA) Princess Auto (just after WWII on Princess St, Winnipeg) and the way they support this hobby ours. A great deal of my tools I’ve bought from them and today at their “scratch and dent” sale I picked up a 30 ton hydraulic press, a 1ton gantry, and a few other items at ten cents on the list dollar amount. And for the hobbyist it really helps! Maybe there not full on professional grade but they’re pretty damn good which helps us get on with things.

Now back to regular scheduled programming...

  27. Your 100% correct on this Princess auto does a ton of charity work locally and helps out the car scene immensely .

when I first started going to princess auto back in the late 90’s it was for there huge surplus area ( switches , motors , gears boxes wassit things !!)
As me and my friends would say there tools where “ cheddar cheese”

tjey have come along way with their quality and name.
