Sunny skies, cool temps, and some H.A.M.B'ers all were on hand at the first KKOA Starbirds event. Here are some Photos. Johnny Angel
Low turnout but the museum so cool it was worth the trip!!!. Some nice Barris cars and the Hines Bat Shoebox were there to name a couple. Spent over an hour in the museum and probably didn't absorb half the old photos etc. Very cool. If you get in the area check it out. You get to see Darryl Starbirds house and personal shop from the outside. I bet his is close to 2000 sf which seems small for him but could be HVAC space. For those who haven't seen fellow hamber from Kansas with the Flat Black and Flat Broke 57 Buick it is really nice!!
This was the 11th event I attended at Starbirds, and while the turnout was low for most KKOA events, it was about the same for all of the other Starbird events at the same location, a super spot for Photo ops down by the lake, maybe next year there will be more cars, if not no big deal it is still a great show, real layed back and relaxed. I'm dumb. What does HVAC stand for? Also, good pics. Looks like that '60 Chevy has '66 Cutlass headlight doors.
Think it means Air Conditioning and heating system, could be wrong but then again I am old, heating to me is another stick of wood on the fire and Air conditioning is 2v60....2 vents open at 60mph Johnny Angel
