I have the same problem he does, too busy working on my real hot rods. He lives right down the street.
...Most value seems to be unopened and obviously unbuilt, although I have a friend who has sold some of his built models for premium dollars. His builds are extremely well executed.
Just moved an AMT '36 Ford Coupe box last night in the ba*****t. Everything was there, instructions, decals and the chrome parts. No frame or body, must have built a stock car back in 1965 or earlier.
I have one the same color. No clue if it still works or not. Funny thing about, probably why I keep it, but back in the day we had to pay buck or two a month for “phone rental” from Ma bell. Heck, my folks had the service since the early 60’s. Some time when the cordless phones came out they bought one. About 10 years ago my mom had a question on her phone bill and called them, maybe been longer. But as they wer listing and explains the charges, there was the one for the phone. A bit of discussion and they credited her something like 300/400 on her account. And no, they didn’t want the phone back. Lol
I've got a couple of unopened models out in the cabinet in the garage that I will probably never build because my hands don't do the fine work that it requires anymore. I bought to AD truck model kits maybe 20 years ago to build a concept model for what I want to do to my truck but then smashed my index finger on my left hand and lost some of my ability to do minute detail work.
