Picked up this speaker grille at a swap meet this weekend. Had a Ford speaker attached, but I'm ***uming it's aftermarket. Has a a pretty neat Lincoln looking star on it. Anyone know who made it?

I also got this neat 1957 Lincoln rear speaker grill awhile ago that I plan on chrome plating and putting in the rear package tray.

Cool, from the days when your "sound system" was an AM radio with a speaker cabbaged from a donor car in the wrecking yard with a fader switch under the dash and maybe a JC Whitney chrome rear seat speaker cover for a bit of style.
I had the fader switch and speaker in my 51 Merc but didn't have aftermarket cover on the speaker.

I think I've got one of those chrome star ones as well, I grab every one of those old speaker grilles I can find. It's shocking how many otherwise period-perfect builds get some plastic Sony 6x9 speaker grilles hacked into the package tray, or round ones in the door panels, ruins the look. What you've got there is the right way to go, for sure.

Got one too, which I used to ventilate my battery box. I wouldn't be too sure it's aftermarket, though.

  6. That's not a speaker cover. THIS is a speaker cover........ (Spoken in a Crocodile Dundee accent.)

I've got a pair of these "schoolroom PA announcement" speaker covers that I'm saving to be installed in the back of my panel truck someday.
I don't even have a radio at the moment. :p

That's really neat! What do you think it's from? I don't see any part numbers or a Ford logo on it

After looking at this more, I think it's from a late 50's Pontiac, they had a similar star
