I posted this over in the wanted ads, but I don't think anybody looks over there. I'm making plans to drive my 56 truck from Watertown, SD down to Huntsville (1100 miles) over Labor Day weekend, and I was hoping the HAMB network would be able to help if I have trouble.

I'll be going from Watertown down I-29 to KC, then over to St. Louis, then down through Paducah to Nashville and on to Huntsville. If you're along the way and might be willing to help out if all hell breaks loose, please feel free to PM your number. I'm thinking this will kind of be a grassroots version of triple-A (which I'm looking into also).

I may or may not have a little bit of room in the back of the truck if someone needs something moved-depends on how much vintage furniture I'm taking with me. Just PM me and we'll see if we can work something out.

Thanks in advance...should be a hell of a trip.

If you plan it right, you could hit the HAMB Drags Aug 25th. Well worth the trip.

Dig that truck, by the way.

    Good luck, -Abone.

I thought about pulling the trip ahead a week, but I can't pull it off. Gotta do it Sept 2-3, not enough vacation otherwise.

Maybe next year...it's only 8 hours away.

Just thought I'd bump this up there one more time. Thanks to those guys that offered up their numbers so far. Hope we won't need them.

Just made it into Huntsville a couple of hours ago...no trouble along the way except for a curious state trooper in TN and a front u-joint that is on it's way out.

Thanks to the guys that offered their numbers...glad we didn't need them!
