A, gee thanks mister. But I’m more of a Chevy kind of kid. And I really don’t feel like being molested today. Sorry.

No thanks...I'll wait until the day AFTER the sale.
With that many '33-'34 Fords flooding the market all at once, I'm almost positive that '33-'34 Fords will become so cheap in the following weeks, that I will be able to pick up a nice one for a few hundred bucks:rolleyes::p

  10. I would like one, actually, but bringing my wallet would be like bringing a knife to a gunfight.

  11. Yes please, I would like one of each, and if there is a Fordor with four suicide doors, that would be nice.

34 heaven for sure. There's millions in the cars and buildings. What did he do for a living to be able to build such a collection?

This is amazing. Blows my mind thinking about how many are still out there. I'd drive a different one everyday!

A lot of good buys for those wanting to get into a Model 40 or buy a nice car. Here's a couple of many such cheap cars. Results are here. 40s and others from the collection were spread over several days starting Wednesday. Still quite a few super desireable cars to go on the Saturday night - so man 3Ws have to wonder how many $50K up buyers there are.

  22. ...Do you mean that outfit from Canada that was building reproduction '34 Fords a number of years ago? I believe they were called Timmins. Don't know if they are still around. Haven't heard anything about them in years, but I believe they were producing a quality product, unlike say, Street Beasts.

Yup I forget the mag they were in, perhaps R & C
The article woke an awareness of beauty in me.
I once knew a girl with a fordor , I was more focused on her though.

Sorry could not cancel the Italic.
Anyhow the article claimed that they were so authentic the repairs could be found at Ford dealers. Hard to believe. Early 80s I think.

Yes, Timmis is still in business but their web site is a little confusing. They tout extensively that they produced the "famous" Timmis '34 Ford and (almost) give you the impression that you can buy one...but sadly, upon further investigation, they are now just a collector car dealer.
    Timmis Motor Company Ltd.Timmis Motor

As far as I can tell, only 21 Timmis '34 Fords were ever built:(

Yep, although Mercum's buyers fees arwent included in thise prices I think?

  27. ...Thanks for that info, Jack. That's too bad that they apparently no longer produce the cars as I always thought they were a very good reproduction. I can't remember their pricing, but it may have been too high for the market at the time. From everything I read about them, they were dedicated to making a very "correct" car.

Saw the pics in another thread, amazing to see so many at once.

Got me thinking, how many cars are too many ? How many cars can be started / driven / maintained regularly by 1 guy before you have to hire another guy to drive your cars ? :D
