    Thanks in advance.

I'm also looking for a pair of the same. Those ET prices are insane, I'll keep looking for a nice used pair.

  4. Good to know. Looking for some for my 41 pickup. Thanks!

  5. The ET's look great though

They are made in the US, by workers getting paid US wages.

A pair of originals for less than those ET prices? You must have way better connections than I do!

  17. People forget those were never 'hot rod' wheels during the actual HAMB era. Introduced in early '65, they were designed specifically for the '65 Corvette to clear their just-fitted 4 wheel discs. Initially only available in one width/backspacing to fit the 'Vette, AR added other sizes later on to fit other cars as front discs started showing up on various cars. I don't recall ever seeing a set on anything other than a 'Vette or in AR advertising prior to '66 or so. Around the same time everybody and their dog started making 'traditional' straight-spoke 5 spoke wheels (and many would fit discs, just not the Corvette) and AR eventually dropped both designs. When they decided to re-enter the market, they perversely chose these over the straight-spoke design, I assume because it was their 'unique' design. AR finally brought back the straight-spoke but you have very limited size/backspace choices or will have to settle for the ugly D spokes.

The ETs may be pricey, but you have far more choices and can even get them for traditional shank-style lug nuts if desired. I just wish they still offered the Unilug....

  18. Doesn’t Radar offer a 15 x 4”?

I like my original Ds ... guess I am just a leper in the anal "traditional " world.

Yes, I know a lug nut is missing.

Original D spokes and torque thrust 2’s are two completely different wheels. Nothing wrong with the original d spokes in my book. The newer 2’s on the other hand are awful

When those TTII's first came out I thought they looked vaguely familiar but not in a satisfying way, then those hideous big diameter versions with the skinny curved spokes started showing up on all our cherished 60's cars and things have been upside down ever since.

  22. E/T 15X4" bought right here on the HAMB classifieds for $500 pair....never used. These are 5 on 4.75" and clear my brake calipers.........
They match the original Americans [15X8.5"]on the back pretty good...Keep searching. 34garage6_22.jpg

  23. Don't know if I agree with that statement. IIRC the original design for the 'Vette had a very pronounced 'D' shape (even more so than the new versions), then AR toned it down on the later versions before discontinuing them.

(Gassers ,S/G ) I Believe they are AR with milled flat spokes (3 or 4 wide) , I do not know Kustom Touch by individual or by AR. CCD25D5C-9A86-4724-AFF1-87AF6C7170CC.png

  25. Those are American Racing magnesium wheels called LeMans. Never made in aluminum. Only available in 15 X 4 and 15 X 6.

    Here’s some pics of 60’s D spokes

Now here’s a pic of the modern torque thrust 2’s

Not even close, in my opinion they don’t belong within a hundred miles of a traditional car
