Is there any special tricks to replace my Girling Knee action shocks with tube shocks?
My original shocks are worn out and like real spendy from Great Britain.
    Thanks

Hot rodders have been converting to tube shocks since the 40’s. You just need to figure out the style of ends, usually round bushing or threaded shaft, and get total extended length and compressed length. Normally they are longer in the rear.
Leaf spring are pretty ez once you figure out the top mount and a plate under the spring.

Here is a blurry pic of the itty bitty British/American car mostly American, I have located a shock conversion kit for the front axle now I have to locate a kit for the rear that I can afford, I could make my own which would save a buck but at my age I am getting lazy.
This was my Daddy's car he purchased it in 1959 for $160. and I did get to ride in before the rod babbit went to pot. No rust has always been undercover only damage is the mice and rats eating the seats and head liner.
The width inside the car from the right side of the dash to the left side is 36" pretty tight also will have to move the seat rearward for leg room, Also the rear axle is the same as the 38 ford.
