1934 Chevy Master Grille shell - 36 1/4" long 23 1/2" wide 1934-35 Chevy standard grill shell - 35" long 23 1/2" wide As such the hoods although similar in appearance are different. Low production numbers in both USA and Canada. I believe those down here were coach built for/by GMH. No body components interchanges between Master and Standard series to my knowledge. A restorer friend once swapped in a Master dash into a Standard. There are few HAMB threads on identifying the differences between Standard and Master. Commercial production figures aren't that high by comparison to other models. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/1934-chevy-master-or-standard.839243/ http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/1934-chevs-master-vs-standard-whats-differant.94044/ Easiest way for me is:- Dashboard, instruments in centre for Standards with instruments in front of driver and glovebox for Master; Firewall recess in Standard is shallow and deeper on a Master; Masters featured knee action front suspension; Frames are different; and Rear fender on Master has more crown than Standard. Appears to be a Master SD Standard SD?
do you happen to know of anyone that offers a reproduction body (of the body style shown in this photo) , metal or gl***? i do not like the chopped top alot of people prefer .as my name implies im a little crazy and would like to make the body a 4 door to look like a suburban, but with 4 doors on the sides. i would also desire to put it on a 34 inch wide straight frame of a big truck from the 1980's and make it a 4x4. i had 2 33 chevy truck bodies i was going to make into a crew cab but life happened and i sold them for what i paid for them. thank you in advance
I haven't seen or heard of one, I have a 35 High Cab That was stared by a high school friend of mine that I got when He p***ed and now at 73 I don't know if I will be able to finish it either it is a slight slant chop with shortened bed. Frame is Zeed, 4 wheel disk set up for SBC with Turbo 350 I think I have all fenders also and a 35 ***le Wood is rotted and mostly out .
Outlaw Body's here in the states had one in gl***, but was chopped 3-4"s or so and was a long door 2 dr. sedan with rear windows filled Had a friend start one in the early 90's but don't think he finished it in Texas Another friend sent me a picture of what he did to his doors, they are swiss cheese but not rotten. Wood Remover, I can relate are you using 1"or 3/4" square tubing I have to do that next
34 chev master sedan delivery used all the same sheet metal as the cars ,doors ,fenders ,hood, grill ,windshield and mouldings ,can't recall if running g boards were the same or not . The rear fenders were special to the sedan delivery as well I am pretty sure . It has been a while since I played with one !! Panel trucks use all pick up sheet metal ..
No kidding!! Is that an Australian ute ?? Finding chevy parts for Cars and trucks made here in N.America is tough enough
thats a nice project im sure folks are lining up to try and get it! i guess what i really need is a master sedan delivery because of longer rear quarter and shorter doors. this is because i love the flow and curves of the 30's and i love 4 doors like crew cab and suburban. my intention was to convert the sedan delivery with 4 doors like a suburban, i have a 93 and a 96 and a 2002 suburban and same year yukon xl. i wanting to fit on a school bus frame (34 inches wide straight truck) because of the mechanical DT360 engine and 5 speed trans + a transfer case and a set of 5 ton military axles. just look at my handle that explains peoples opinion of me and my ideas. if someone gifted me a 2022 year truck with all the bells and whistles , today, it would immediately put up for sale!! i do not like all the electronic controls on everything and the factory makes for the m***es. i pitty the guys that spend 30 thousand on extras for their brand new 4x4 truck and crawl the thing over the tiny bump between their driveway and the street! my friends brother bought a honda truck thingy for the 4 wheel drive but will not even drive it in the rain much less in the snow and GOD forbid it ever get off the asphalt, and it is factory stock! to each his own, but ill use the hell out of mine!
It was mostly there but was a 5 lug 4 3/4" wire wheel with a few missing spokes I had to drill out the welded spoke pockets and ordered a set of plain steel that were painted and Kinda trued to roll. They went on the back
