So what is the next pile of cash going to be spent on to keep your project moving forward? Or do you just pick up another piece and work on that until it needs funds? I'm listing more stuff in hopes of selling it so I can pay a trained professional for some work. Picked up something else that needs to be hit with a hammer, good therapy, and I'll have a piece of sheet metal with less dents. Bob

had another eye operation last year, he "repaired" the 48 year old tear in the iris,
now my welds drop off and to the right....
not a problem with welding sheet metal, tacks...
the X member, boxing plates and suspension anchors are just tacked...
so my pile o cash will go to the welder... well spent...

What I really need to spend money on is a place to work. I've got enough parts stashed away that I can pretty well get it to running roller stage without any major expenxe. I've got a feeling that the 292 is gong to need a refreshening beyond changing every gasket and seal in it though.

I have enough parts and materials to keep me moving on multiple projects for decades. All I need is time. But any time I'm not working costs me money, in "opportunity cost".

  9. I was thinking about adding nice set of functional lake pipes (or even this weird old design I've been reworking for bed rail belly burners.) hooked to my cutouts. I dunno.

Next up for me is all new side glass, weatherstrip, anti-rattle weatherstrip and every rubber piece and small do-dad I need. Gonna be well over $1K. I don't even want to think about upholstery!

I have been putting off buying the parts to rebuild my control arms and king pins...
Then I will need the time to install it all and pay for an alignment

A camping trip...my kids put up with me enough getting my 29 done and on the road over the last few months. Maybe a new header for the banger when I get back though...

I have my father/son 26 T roadster build at a buddy’s for some metal bumping(there’s some money leaving my pocket). I needed some thing to do so I rebuilt the f-1 steering box, $300 for a rebuild kit. Seem like every time I turn around it’s $100 bucks here or $300 bucks there..

shocks, weatherstripping, some basic interior coverings, then insurance, registration etc. Of course the first full tank of gas may break me.

Whatever the diesel bill is to haul home another POS to part out plus the truck needs a oil change.

A dual wiper system for both the coupe and the Tudor.
If it weren't for the shipping, I'd call it minor money!

Not settled on price but I need to get a 220 line to the garage.
My brother in law is giving me his 55 gallon compressor.
The T needs the rear refreshed.
    The A needs floors.
The 57 wants engine mounts to begin with.
    One good lottery ticket....

When I had the 18 wheeler I used to say it cost 100.00 just to walk around it and bump the tires.

Feels like deja vu. When I was a kid, that $95 forty coupe may as well have been a million. Now that I'm retired, there isn't much difference.

  26. Me too. Gonna cost more than 500 clams though. Hard part is finding someone that wants to do it or can give me a timeline.
