I liked them back in the day and I like em now!

 

I’ve always liked chrome wheels. When I got my coupe, the first thing I did was take off the chrome wire wheels (15x12 rears, ugh) and get the chrome wheels off the rack and try them on. With WWs out it was too much gingerbread.

So I tried black side out. I drove it like that for a while but I eventually had custom rear wheels made and went with black wheels and medium white walls.

 

Even the cake top at our wedding had chrome wheels…..

 

That car is perfect in every way…. I can’t imagine it with any other wheel treatment.

 

Mercury caps and chrome steelies . Classic on a 40, IMHO.
