Had this nice machine pull up with a drinking problem, could see fuel dribbling out of the accelerator pump discharge nozzles with anything over 1/4 throttle, sure enough no needle valve, lets hope nobody pumped it into the engine. Got him to drop the carby off to go over it, one nozzle bar wasn't held down tight by the bar on the idle side so reset it.
The ignition vac port went through to the venturi so I guess it's for a vacuum brake distributor ?
Since it's running a Bosch electronic I guess I better check to see if it's vac advance or vac retard on the dizzy before deciding where to hook the vacuum up to.

Carby is a beautiful piece, used to play with my Dads box of 48's 94's and 97's in the 70's, this one's nicer, just surprised all wasn't right.

Problem is that the steering is on the wrong side of the car causing a disruption in the time space continuum . Or maybe just a shift in the vortex. Seriously, nice looking ride. Sure you'll get it sorted.

Oh yer, I did have a question, what would the thread be for the vacuum brake port in the 94 ?
It did have a 1/8 npt fitting in the hole but it is only engaging about 2 and a half threads.

It would have a chance of performing better without that restrictive choking 'air cleaner!'
Sounds like you're getting on top of the rest of it.

Yer, first thing we said, he has a new one.
Have to check nobody else had the discharge nozzle out and opened the throttle, he may have a needle valve lying in an inlet port.

if not maybe it is just a standard unf thread ?

Yer, I thought that might be it, didn't try it just because the threads already damaged.

He's refitted the Carby and plumbed in what is Vacuum advance to the manifold, struggling to get idle speed low enough of course now, no timing tape, set it at about 15 initial plus vacuum, motor's sharp. He's going to get a surprise next time he takes it out.

    Fwiw,
I run an 1&1/16” - 57 jets - no connection between the port that you asked about and vacuum advance. I have the parts, but still haven’t hooked them up after 17 years. Seems to run okay, maybe a little rich ?
