I find it amazing how Australian hot rods back in the day were built similar to hot rods that were built on the east coast of America, especially when books and magazines were probably hard to get

That's Carl and Bob Austin with their friggin' awesome '27 T. Built in the early fifties and still around although in un***embled form. That's Carl in driver's seat and Bob fiddling with something on the engine. Unfortunately, cancer got Carl a while back, but Bob is still with us at age 92, I believe. Still working his wonders on straightening and polishing aluminum and stainless steel trim pieces. A true magician with that stuff.
