Anyone else seen brand new super bell finned backing plates that are pitted on every surface? Is this normal?

Looks like a terrible quality casting, extreme porosity exposed by machining.

Even I can see that that piece is garbage.

  7. You would have to doubt the integrity of those and the person who signed them off!

They were on the shelf, packager received the order and put in box. No quality control person receiving to look at what’s coming the from the manufacturer.

If you bought them from Pete & Jake's / Super Bell, I'd call Jason and see if he'd be willing to replace them.

Purchased direct from Pete and Jakes as part of complete front end kit. I just wanted your opinion before I called them, thanks!

Pleas keep us posted. They should be shocked at what left their shop. Not cheap, either, I'll bet. How is the other side?

Very true, but it never should have left the foundry, let alone the machine shop and retailer.

5window I agree. From what I feel I know about Jason or Jerry from different dealings somebody in Missouri should be nervous.

Glad they are fixing you up. Labor, especially knowledgeable labor, is in short supply, bu one might suggest parts should be checked A-at the foundry and B at the chrome shop BEFORE hey are worked on. How could you not notice that?
