Pictures of a 34 coupe hanging from rafters in a garage were posted online. I was able to purchase the car. So today I welded some braces across the body and set it on the frame just for storage space. It has a 32 frame that they drilled tons of holes in. Then they cut the whole back half off and welded the back part together narrow for some reason. Has a cage. Decent grille. I hung the other door. Drivers door has no inner support. Axle and split bones have all the holes. No dash. No garnish moldings. She’s pretty rough but hey it’s a 34. It has writing above the rear window but I couldn’t make it out. worlds I think it says. Also had some writing on decklid and quarter that’s illegible. Says 54 on cage on drivers side. Be cool to know the history Also it came with a windshield frame that’s wrong. Anyone recognize it?
Oh baby, that's a nice one particularly for being an ex racer. Don't forget to start a build thread. -Abone.
Awesome find! Someone here may have a trick to "bring out" the old lettering which could be a clue to it's geographical history. Looks like they removed/replaced the roof to add the roll bar? Odd as that wasn't necessary as there's no floor. So, possibly it previously had a full floor and was on a 34 frame?... What are your build plans?
I thought the same thing that they cut it off for roll cage because it is stock height but they cut the doors and everything. You think they would have just removed those. As far as plans I have a 30 roadster on 32 frame I’m finishing so I’ll probably have this on the back burner and start collecting parts for a while.
