I weighed my 32 5w at Steel in Motion by . S. E gassers Assoc. mobile scale. Subtracting my weight my car was approx. 2400 lbs Its a fenderless 32 5w coupe , SBF,C4,9" ford , no hood . Gotta love a light car
When I raced my 32 cabriolet—no glass in roll up windows,no fenders,no hood,no door or kick panels/did have fully upholstered seat-Halibrand aluminum wheels/complete working top but no cloth,9 in,gm 5 spd, flathead—aluminum heads, aluminum intake—2260 gassed up ran 9.50’s 80 mph in 1/8 with 3:89 Detroit Locker ——now have all glass, full upholstery, cloth top but NO track time.
My old Sedan Deliv, was 2559 lbs according to the scales at my local recycler/scrapper. But 225 lbs of that could be attributed to my fat ass
My sedan. Aluminum head 351w/t5/champ winters quick change. Has some extra steel reinforcement in the body and cowl steering brace system, pretty spartan interior, but has a back seat and a large fuel tank. Frame is pretty stout, I tend to overbuild most parts. 2760 lbs with a full tank (16 gallons).
