a friend of mine has a grille/bumber guard for a 55-55 ford car. He has both the front and back sections. with, what appear to be, all the pieces. it is even really nice chrome. Now, he doesnt own a 55 or 56 ford, so i dont know why he has them. to the question. does anyone know how they install. pics would be great. i made a guess and include the pics hear. thanks ahead of time
i just looked at my 55 ford to use as a reference and the parts you have look like they might be an aftermarket kit . the bumperettes on my 55 are fitted to the bumpers contours as are all of the 55/56 fords i have seen . i have not seen any 55/56 fords with overriders before and they look like the bolt to the out side of the bumper . definately not a factory look . best bet is to have a 55/56 ford and try to line them up .
thanks for the advice. the guy that owns them thinks that the bumperettes mount over the ones on the car already. sounds wierd to me but that is why i am asking. anyone have any pics that may have a similar piece on a ford. thanks
