Hey everyone. I got a 64 Cadillac CDV. Wanted to bag it. Anyone out there have one? Wanted to know what products you used and how to's. Did you piece your system together, or did you buy a kit? Saw that Ridetech has a full setup for about $3K. I know a little bit about these systems, but have not installed one myself. Any tipe and tricks will help. If you guys have any pictures of your rides layed out, that would be great!!

    Thanks in advance,
    Kevin:confused:

You can pretty much just buy a universal cup kit for the front and rear. If you want to lay really low then you gotta cut under the rear seat for the driveshaft, clearance frame for driveshaft, notch frame for axle, re-mount rear shocks, cut hole in the body above the rear end for the top control arm.... ends up being some work. They lay pretty low w/o all that cutting/notching.

i know they're a little different, but I have a 62 CDV bagged and it lays frame... like it's been said above, it's all pieced together... I'm using Slam Specialties RE-7 bags up front, RE-8's in the back... bag cups are in the original spring pockets (modified a bit), a York 210 A/C compressor as a belt driven air compressor that goes to a 12 gallon tank in the trunk... 3/8's valves (fill and dump at each corner), and it's notched for the driveshaft under the rear seat... the guy that did most of the work is on here too... he's had a # of bagged caddy's from 61-67ish (boostcaddy)

In my opinion the 63-64 Cadillac is one of the easiest cars to install air ride. very minimal modification needed besides welding a bag mounting plat to the rear trail arms and lower front control arm. No need to cut the front spring pocket on frame.
Im using Universal brand airbags. Ive had universals for 20 years with no problems and the car sits for long periods. No issues with the bags cracking and leaking. Recently I'm updating to a smaller tank to give me more room in the trunk, and simple front and rear valves.
I purchases a front control arm kit from CB ch***is https://cbcpro.com/ that comes with upper and lower control arms and shock relocation mounts. These kits slightly change the geometry to prevent the ball joints and control arm bushings from binding

My overall setup on my 64
    -Universal Airbags
    -Universal Aluminum 4.5 gallon tank
    -2 Viair 440 compressors
-I valve mounted on the front of the car near the bags
-1 valve mounted on rear trunk for rear bags
-Cheap brand dash mounted digital display pressure sensor for Front, Back, and Tank psi readings
-Old cheap box valve control pad (kustom painted with pinstripes, etc)
-CN Ch***is kit in front (to come)

All air lines and electrical will run through the car tucked neatly under the door sills and carpet.
