@woodiemike your dad and Uncles and all the Dry Lakes Crowd of the Yesteryear are smiling in Spirit at what you've put together...what a beauty...

So sorry about the pressure issue...Lots of Flathead gurus around here...perhaps you should start a Thread on what are the most common culprits that might cause this issue...

I'll do a quick search and see if there might be a Thread or two on it...

    Sent you a PM...;)

Hey @Stogy how are ya doing? Hope all is well with you and yours. Thank you for the bump on the thread! It's like visiting an old friend again. I'm glad to see it's still around to give anyone inspiration, information and knowledge to keep our great hobby going. That's been my intent all along. My project is going, but at the moment I'm fighting the flathead "gemlins". Have about three hours breakin and street time on the motor, and now the oil pressure is going stupid on me!! Starts at 50psi and then drops to 5psi within seconds!? So far just checked the easy stuff. New gauge and line, and checked the pressure valve all with no success. My next move is to drop the pan which I am not exactly excited about! It's either take the motor out or fight with the wishbone and all that goes with that. Either way it's not an easy job. Oh well! It's been a lot of fun working with my Son, Grandson, and Granddaughter. Here is a couple of pictures of the car. I thought it would only be fitting to put one of my Dad's timing tags on the car. This particular is from 10/6/1946 and has Mr. & Mrs. McNatt on it. It was right after they got married. Hi Woodiemike. Great looking roadster. A real tribute to the days of your dad and uncle. Last night I was looking through the thread all over again. I am on page 18 so far. Like an old friend.

What a cool column drop extension. Just like in the old days. Looks like nice roadster weather there.

Thanks KKrod! Great to hear from ya!! Like you said; it’s like visiting an old friend. I still go back through the thread from time to time. So many great contributors along the way. I think this is a better picture of the drop down and tag. 3577D676-8FE0-43F0-BFEE-785BC971519D.jpeg

How is that roadster doing @woodiemike ? Did you take it to LARS? Sure is a nice looking roadster. Love the timing tag in it's rightful place on the dash. Let us see some more pictures if you have a chance.

@KKrod good to hear from you my friend. How are you doing? Hope all is well with you and yours. Been putting some miles on the Roadster and dealing with all the little problems that pop up. Just part of the experience. Took the car to LARS and had a great time. Great turn out this year. This picture is at LARS with my Son and Grandson. E1337FE3-6536-457F-842D-54D15F37CDF8.jpeg

One of my Dads cars has some lakes duty from back in the day. It was Tom Medleys 28 Coupe that Blew the soft top off of it about 120-125 mph in the mid to late 50s. Over 60 years later it is driving on its own power again. I have a few pictures to share. IMG_0966.JPG IMG_0966.JPG IMG_1122[3319].JPG IMG_1122[3319].JPG

If you are interested in traditional hot rodding then it does not get any better than this. This is the Promised Land.
It is extremely satisfying to see that all of @woodiemike s priceless photos are still intact, in this thread.
So many outstanding old HAMB threads are basically useless now because the original posted pics are all gone, usually because the thread pre-dated Ryan's change from having to use 3rd party hosting sites to direct pic posting from our computers. Thank you @Ryan for this and thank you Mike @woodiemike for this epic thread!

  30. Mike I can’t even figure where to start with how incredible this thread is with the pictures, history and background I’m absolutely floored. I was wondering if you may have more pictures of Sammy (Sam) Brolliers T roadster that you haven’t shared yet?! I’ve saved all the pics I’ve seen of it that you’ve posted so far!

Does anyone know what happened to his 27t roadster or if Sam himself is still alive/around?!
