I don't know where I got this plate from, but it does appear to be non-US. It has a plastic top/"vinyl" backing and some damage. There seem to be some sort of image in each corner and initials in the center badge. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I have a Netherlands plate and it is yellow, but metal. No logo. It definitely looks Euro before all the cookie cutter EU plates.
Man that difference could be just due to the vintage of it? I'd say it's definitely a euro plate, I lived in CH for a while, and spent some time in Amsterdam (just, you know, behaving....) and I thought I remembered their plates were yellow. Actually it's amazing I remember ANYTHING from my time in the Netherlands! Lol.
Could be. I think most GB plates have a Gb and a flag on um tho? Shooting from the hip here.... It's been 20 years since I lived in Europe. Maybe a Google will help..... Edit: just Google and the Gb is optional, so definitely could be. I'd call it a euro plate and be satisfied.... Lol.
Excellent and Google images finally agrees. I have a daughter who works with SA on AIDS and she likely brought it home. Thanks.
I just Googled it. I took a guess that the code on the plate "SA" was South Africa. I found other examples with that same mark from South Africa. From there I looked up their plates, and found the province codes.
Ah. I got lost with the various 4 letter combinations and looking t Netherlands plates. I have another plate-South Australia- so thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
- Not the first time that South Australia & South Africa (both always abbreviated to S.A.) have been confused !
I'm from the Netherlands and it is definitely not a plate from the Netherlands and don't think it is European at all. Dutch plates are always a combination of 6 letters/digids. No more, no less
Thanks. The plate in question is from South Africa. In fact, my daughter remembers finding it on a street. The plate I have from Netherlands is this one-indeed 6 characters.
