Hot Rods 350 olds stroker

Recently picked up a 1970 olds 350 and I’m new to the engine.. I know they are different from the Chevy 350… the motor I have needs a rebuild and I’m looking for a stroker kit but my small amount of research is only giving me chevy 383 stroker kits.. can anyone point me in the direction for a stroker kit for an olds 350

 

I had about the same vintage of a 350 Olds long ago, in Jeep PU. Ran strong. Was stock as far as I know. Think the air cleaner sticker said “Rocket”? On it.
Had fun in that truck in the desert while I lived in Az for a few years.

 

Will the Olds 403 crank fit????...

 

same stroke. 403 had larger bore.

 

Basic problem is not much demand for Olds 350 stroker cranks when you can get 105 more cubic inches with an Olds 455.

You have to sort though the BS artists just as you have to do on the HAMB but there is some decent info on your queston here.. 383 stroker - Cl***icOldsmobile.com Seems like the OP was hung up on the 383 number for some reason . Note that thread was from 2012.
Offset grinding the crank as mentioned is no doubt

Adding things up I have owned more righs with 350R engines in them than anything else. I put a lot of miles on one that I had in my old 51 Merc. I've got one sitting out in the shed out of one of the 76 Sevilles that I used to have.

Olds motors are not low cost rebuilds. I like them. Be sure an Olds 350 is the place you want to start.

 

In the mid 80's Joe Mondello was big into Olds motors. The block of choice was the 350 Diesel with a 425 crank.
I talked to him about doing one with a 455 crank. He said it could be done, but the bottom end was already pretty full with the 425 crank.
I was able to get a steel 455 crank from Bob Gillian (Moldex). It has the rod journals turned to BBC size. IIRC - .020"
Other stuff got to be more important, but I still have the crank.

 

Mark Remmel Olds engine builder has gotten with vendors and has a 4340 forged 4.0 stroke SBO olds crank and the pistons rods and all.. you can make a 428 cid out of a 350 Olds with it.. Cutl***efi username on Cl***ic Oldsmobile forum also has roller cams etc,.. he also got edelbrock to revise there heads to new version with heart shape smaller 69 cc chamber and other improvements
