Ever seen and heard a gas turbine car close up? Check out this little pup!

I saw a little car that blew me away recently. It's a prototype Rover gas turbine car from 1955. I got a bit of footage of the car but got a great bit of the back story from the head of the restoration team. It sounded fantastic and I was right by it at startup.

Gee, the neighbours would be stoked when you fire that up at 4am to go to work...

 

I'm not to confident of the roll cage.
And yes, it sure has an awful whine, even when idling.
