Is Eastwood out of business? Did any of their paint products wind up anywhere? Any current suppliers?

I've been using their rust convertor and rust encapsulator and really like it, so much so I import from the US to Japan :)

Carb renew II paint. Not on website, or apparently anywhere else.

I have 3 cans left. Too bad they may not be doing it anymore. I couldn't find it at Eastwood. There may be some left out there.

Honest Injun, I'm not that impressed with it. It looks more like gold paint than a CAD dichromate plating finish. It's expensive too. Spaz Stix makes Gold/Green and Gold/Red flip flop paint. First coat Gold carb renew (or Gold paint), then haze with the two flip flop paints. Almost looks like CAD dichromate. The flip flops are in bottles, I use an airbrush. If you really want the dichromate look, look into zinc dichromate plating. It can be done at home and doesn't kill you as fast as the CAD. BTW, CAD by itself looks like zinc. It's the dichromate that gives the gold/red/green flip flop finish. Mike

I’m on their email list. Received one today. I use their products and have always been happy with the results and the price.

One thing about the Carb Renew II is that it is very gas resistant. Goes on easy and dries nice.

Still trying to find a can (or a partial) can of Eastwood Carb Renew II bronze. No commentary please, I like it. Can not find it anywhere.

  11. I have been looking for this too and while at the Carlisle swap meet I stopped in their tent. I asked them about their carb renew and they said they are out of stock and don't know when they will get any more. Said their supplier keeps telling them another six months....

I would think someone else would make/sell something like it but I have not found anything.

Aerosol cans are very difficult to source right now unless you are a major manufacturer. Companies are having to decide what products they are going to produce with the limited supply so I would imagine it is not a huge seller so their supplier has stopped production so they can allocate materials to higher volume items.

Was at the ohio store in parma last week, also wanted carb paint. No dice, like alot of things these days it may not be back on the shelf, so the lesson is if you will use it, whatever part or paint, etc. buy it now. Welcome to the new world.
