Still useful and beautiful after all these years... just keeps on giving!

 

Built this gate years ago for a local nursery. Kind of a fun project. They have since closed shop and the gate is gone... no idea if it even exists any longer.

 

Guess it is functional yard art? It was fun building and aging. Its in a local north county park and they use it on the weekend to fuel the antique locomotive...

 

Reviving an old thread here.
I built this friendly shop snake the other day from an old coil spring for the body and a 40 ford frontend doo hicky that held a sway bar i belive for the head.
I set it out side my shop door, hope to see a few folks jump when they see him. Not to worry though because hes a friendly shop snake.

 

I brought home an old truck cowl the other day( I think it’s an old international). I had the fenders from my T roadster project and an unknown hood and grill shell I had laying around and a set of model A wheels that have old motorcycle tires mounted on them, I had an old willys axle that got thrown under everything. I made a hood side from the old rotten trunk floor out of the T project. I am going to get a set of solar yard lights and kick around and try to find some T headlight lenses so it has lights at night. The jailbar has a crusin buddy now.

what amazes me is the size of you peoples yards. mine is filled with cars and no room for art.

 

If I am not mistaken I have driven by this truck most a lot in my lifetime. I believe it is in Townsend Tennessee.

 

I've got a pair of doors that would make that a great 32 tub build.

 

Here's my yard art roadster. I've got some real roadster doors and rear quarters that I plan to add to it soon so it'll all be 30/31 Ford roadster
