Ol Bessy working the hunting lease for the second year since getting back on the road. Hauling in blinds and checking fire roads for dead fall.

42 years she's been mine and she's back in the woods with me. Again. As she was when I was 16!

That’s cool. I lost my ambition for hunting when my dad p***ed. Just wasn’t the same. I hunted a lot without him, but had no one to share the stories with.
    Have a great time!

Remember when the dealers would advertise the 12 - 15 year old cars as "Fishin' cars'' ?
Then in the fall, they became "Deer hunter's special" ?

I see they pulled pics and data on dad hunting. I'll have to be more careful about being sensitive topics. Sorry to have offended the forum.

It's OK. I noted this early on in the threads on Bessy's restoration. I should have remembered.

I was going to say, what no deer on the roof...

I'm not a Hunter but like eating my burgers...so I understand this side of things...I still find it odd the few times I went out of town to areas where carrying furry cargo on roofs was commonplace...I knew I was out of my element...

The Ole Plymouth or Dodge or Chrysler......heck I'll call it a Mopar looks good in the Woods...Probably feels like 1939 all over again...

Not sure of then, although Mom had a thirteen yr old 39 Chrysler.
( lovely machine, reeked of delicious cigar smoke )
Today's models have wings which I think this shows, also.
    What say you Sharps40 ?

Yep, Ram on the hood, wings are on the grill and trunk emblems.

I'd have to Google up Chrysler to see if their hood ornaments were winged.
