Building a 29 RPU with 8BA. I did a Borgeson Vega box. I thought the center dump headers would fit the best. Well, I was wrong! Which headers fit this combination? IMG_1805.jpg IMG_1806.jpg

Personally i would have inset that box in the frame some, and can the motor be moved to the right?

On my model T i recessed the bracket into the frame to gain some extra space.

Agreed, looks like it would make the most sense to move that brake line and sit the steering box flush with the frame or even recessed. As to your original question, I believe most guys run Red's rear dump or lakes headers for reasons like this. Here is a link to their headers for Flathead V8 in a Model A with the Vega Box:

I used a set on a 1950 Ford coupe I had, and the fit and finish was excellent.

Here are some pictures of my set up.
The first one is from the mock up.
But i had to lower the steeringbox some to get the pitman arm to clear enginemounts.

Put the steering where it belongs & build headers to fit . . .

^^^^This. Or buy a pair of headers that actually fit.
