NOPE. You NEVER, and I mean never, move a Ford out...and replace it with a Mopar:eek::mad::eek::mad:

Great cars, I have two of them, one convertible Pace Car and a hardtop. My dad also has a hard top, all Sport Fury big block cars (383, 426 cars) his is a four speed. Let me know if you need any information on it

I’d already be looking for a 440 and 727 to replace that 318.

  7. FWIW, the car is certainly worth it and the fact that the trailer comes with it... beyond a great deal when the family tie is included even at the distance mentioned.

My sister had a '65 Sport Fury convertible back in the early 1970s, it was a pretty cool car. Hers was white, if I remember correctly the top was blue. It was a 383/auto, it was the first car I ever burned rubber in. :)

If it was me I'd find a use for that trailer as well...That is quite a clean machine...to clean for me in fact...but I certainly appreciate it.

    Quite an opportunity.

  10. 15 hour tow is something I used to do on a lunch break. Why are you wasting time here?

A friend's older sister had a '65 w/383, one legger. He got it occasionlly when he'd wash it for her. That thing would burn rubber for days.....:D
    Good problem!

I’ll for sure drive the car as much as I can. It won’t be a show car anymore.

Sounds like it was meant to be, the rest is up to you. Where is the pick up going? Just store it in the New trailer, you’ll figure it out!

  19. That looks like a brand new car, it even has the little aprons that cover the openings on the inner fenders held in with what appear to be the correct fasteners. I'm most partial to Fords but would not p*** up on that especially if the trailer is included.

Glad to hear you will be driving it. I can appreciate a nice show car, but don’t see the point owning one if it can’t be driven regularly.

And, if you are p***ing through my part of the country to or from getting it, would love to try to meet up with you.

Thanks Brother. The car is in Utah so probably not your part of the country.

    Enjoy the adventure.

I recently drove 5 hours one way to pick up a car with a trailer. Adventure enough. And when the ride got to be a little tiresome or worrisome I just remembered why I was doing it and a smile would instantly come to my face.

    Enjoy the adventure.
Make a memory with someone you'll enjoy sharing it with.
    Good luck!
See you when you get back! :)

Utah you say? If you don't want it I'll jump right over there!:D

I'm a big fan of early '60s full size Mopars. That car is beautiful!

If you don't want the trailer why not fly in and drive the car home? Nothing like a road trip in a new to you car. I recently picked up an OT Corvette ('02 Z06) that was 2K miles from me. Caught a ride out (sharing driving) with a buddy that happened to be going to Michigan to pick up a boat. He dropped me off in Iowa where I got the car and then drove the two lanes all the way home. It was a fantastic trip and a great way to get to know your new car.

OK, so I'm probably a little weird, but I would fly up, get a hitch installed on the Fury, and drag the trailer home with the car.
Or, fly up, rent a U haul truck to connect to the trailer to pull the car and trailer home.

The Plymouth looks very complete, not a lot of parts out there and some unique 65 only items. Nice trim is hard to find, that one looks good. Protect that trunk finish panel and taillight surrounds, both are pretty scarce.
