Double... Mickey Brown/Quincy Automotive Olds powered FED

Hello,

In 1959, the drag racing world lost an outstanding racer. Young, Mickey Brown (22) was in an accident at Lion’s Dragstrip, not in his own Oldsmobile powered FED. The sight of his Oldsmobile powered FED drew the spectators to their feet every time he came to the push start down the track. The spectators all knew that the next run or race was going to be a good one, if not a record being set before their eyes.

It was tragic news that showed everyone how dangerous drag racing could be, even for expert drivers. The memorial event for Mickey Brown in early 1960 drew the largest crowd and the best So Cal hot rods/drag racers to Lions Dragstrip. All of the proceeds were given to the young family.

When we think back to our years as teenagers, that was some time period in our lives. We could not have been happier for the help and outpouring of the So Cal drag racing community for this young family.

Again, the digital age of editing always brings us some extra added surprises during the creation of new films and excerpts.

...I've followed Hamber @ClarkH on his ongoing journey with his Hop-Up Speedster and never tire of it's evolving styling he continues to add to it...I have also been inspired to share artistic inspirations/Stogyisms with visions based on discussion, some of my ideas and parts that were with it when he pulled it from the weeds...

He really has really created a barnstormer of a Vintage Hybrid of Hotrod/Speedster
