21-TOP-Pabst-Motors-3101-N-Oakland.jpg At the intersection of Oakland and Kenwood on Milwaukee's Eastside....just around the corner from where I grew up.....a few years later. They were just about done selling cars there when we moved to the neighborhood. I still recall a Jaguar E-Type prominently displayed.

I'm not much into the survivor car thing but that is a pretty cool hotrod with a lot of history going for it. It found it's self a good home too.

Sad way to acquire a Hot Rod, but I’m sure you will do Ed proud. Please continue the journey back with us.

Sad to hear about the previous owner, but great that he was able to enjoy it again in his later years, and glad it's in the hands of someone who really appreciates what it is and it's history. Seems like an exceptionally well built car for the era. Would be great to find out more about the first owners/builders, but the known history of it is already pretty special.

You know it’s gotta be a special car if Max adds any letters of the alphabet to his post in reply.
    That’s a rare thing indeed my friends.:cool::cool::) ;) @Max Gearhead

  21. I have to admit... I had watery eyes from the second paragraph as I read about Ed and the connections about you coming into possession of the car. I am sure that in many ways that car is also like and old friend. I feel that sometimes we are chosen by things in life rather than always making the choices.

I love the fact that you have embarked in this journey... a continuance of what Ed would have wanted. I say rest in peace Ed... rest in peace knowing that a part of you is continuing in this world.

God bless you ... and that feisty '32 !!!

    Hello Jeff.

I just finished reading the earlier thread on this amazing survivor and your resurrection of it.

Then I see this thread and find that your friend Ed had p***ed away and you are the new caretaker.

I'm sorry for your loss. But it's wonderful that you now have the car. It's a great way to remember your friend Ed.

Many happy days and miles to you and this car.

    -Carl

Went back and read your original thread on your work for Ed on this amazing survivor.
You are the one guy who deserves to be the caretaker of this time capsule.
It’s great, thanks to your efforts, that he had some time left to enjoy his old flame.
Congratulations, and may Ed Rest In Peace.

Just discovered this thread, and am sorry to hear your friend p***ed. But this is an amazing roadster, and not many like it that have survived in this condition. Obviously Ed loved it and kept it for a very long time! It's great that the world has caretakers who appreciate cars like this!

  30. @***us, were you able to track down any more of it's history?
