    Hello,

When we were in high school, there were a lot of Chevy sedans. Some were mild customs, some hot rod style, and others were strictly cruisers. If money was available, then going to one of the many chrome accessory shops was a dream event. Spend the hard earned money for a new grille, take it home and unbolt your stock unit, replacing it with a new tubular unit, already a custom grille.

It takes all kinds to do something extra to have an unusual custom grille for their hot rod sedan or mild custom. In the introduction photo showing a scene from Fort MacArthur in San Pedro, CA, take your eyes off of the 32 Coupe and move to the 55 Chevy.

Other options provided a wide range of customization as per heart's content...

Or in today’s Chevy Sedan world, @firemangordy and the coolest 55 Chevy.

I'd love to know just how in the hell they got that floating , 3/4 ton truck rear hub adapted to the front spindle!!!:confused::confused:

  17. I wonder if they adapted the bearings or attached full float stub axles to the OE spindles

At a local get together and this beautiful car was there. Note the floor shift and the three pedals... good times.

Updated with a lower stance since last time I posted.
Front is static, rear has bocks/helper bags to get me in and out of my steep driveway, etc. Eventually, it will be bagged on all corners.

New plates, too. I cant believe with the number of registered 55's in California I was able to get it. The '56 and '57 versions were both taken. Maybe because 55's done up in this vibe are fairly scarce. Most are resto-mods or pro-touring.

  24. Not a great pic. This screen shot is from a 1958 home movie from our local drag strip. AF51003D-CD17-48CD-B5F1-C5D513D9B25F.jpeg

no full shot of the car because of the camera movement.

Not sure if anyone answered, but I think it might be the top of a 56 Buick rear bumper

  27. Dang skippy.
A lot of cool rides in that film. I wasn’t expecting this. Kinda looks like the handles are shaved.
