Art & Inspiration 4-Banger Valve Cover Picture Thread

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Retson the Racer, Aug 24, 2022.

  1. I looked to see if there was a thread already and didn't come up with any. How about a thread for Ford Model A/ B valve covers? Doesn't matter if it's a modified stock one, or a super rare one. Post what ya got!

To start things off, I found this one whilst surfing the web: a Thomas Model B valve cover!

  2. Another Model B valve cover, but no name.

Do you have any advice for a 24 year old getting into parts manufacturing?

I started in the car restoration world bout 14, and started producing Buffalo wheel parts bout your age. Like an enthusiastic sponge, I asked for and considered everyone’s input. By about 30, I stopped listening! You might notice that when I show a project now, it’s already well refined or dun!

Make stuff you’re interested in... you’ll enjoy the project more, and if you get stuck with the extras... you’ll be ok with it! Even if you do it wrong, it’s all good experience, and the next project will benefit from lessons learned. I still get flack from CNC naysayers, but can’t hear em anymore;)

    Not valuable but certainly rare.
A homemade, one off cover made from steel plate. On my gennie Sprint car engine.
Check the pressure relief valve and all the brazing on the high volume oil pan.

  28. I love this one. I owned one, but sold it like an idiot.

I've got a friend overseas with one of these side covers. Are you familiar with why it's like that, like a casting accident?

I've got one of these covers with a set of rockers. Are they rare?

That is wicked cool! Any more info on it?

I am jealous! I've got a GEMSA frame underneath my racecar.

Are you familiar with the history of Iandola at all? I'm clueless
