Damnit!! Why do you guys have to be all the way across the country!? I was texting Jeff last week a little and it was killing me when he said he was getting ready for it!!

If I didn’t have a kid starting college, a kid starting kindergarten, a job, 3000km one way, oh and if I had some money, I would have been there! Maybe I should plan a trip in the Chrysler in the future. @Jeff Norwell, think we could get a Hemi in the trunk of my car?

...I have to ask you @57JoeFoMoPar of this imagery on the Continental Cover I'm thinking I was seeing...It looks to be a likeness of a man and woman...is that trick paint?

...I think she was yawning...and she saw me carefully back in...trust is a beautiful thing...

I took 400+ pics and not one person said a peep, mind you I asked if I could move a chair and had a few chats...super time super people...

@Stogy and @Jeff Norwell , thank you for the kind words on the awards. Yes that's my 56 Olds. It was a totally surprise and a real special honor, especially being selected by Mel's wife and daughter. There were most certainly many nicer cars there than mine, but Maureen explained that the premise of the award was a person who was into customs and really got out there and used them, to enjoy the car, the hobby, the people, and carry on the tradition... just as her late husband Mel did with his 57 Buick. I guess I fit the bill and I couldn't be more honored. Pretty rad that Brandon, a fellow club member of the Lead Kings and great guy, is now the caretaker of the Buick, and will carry that legacy on. The guys all told stories about riding with Mel, hammer down, going all over the place in the Buick. Mel (who I only met once, years ago at the Detroit Autorama), certainly seemed to enjoy his seat time. I had a blast doing the same thing this weekend, almost 1000 miles up and back. Had a great time at the show and a nice drive too.

...I think that was about it for my candy store type of Day...I had some good eats...listened to some tunes, yap, yap yapped even missed the pinup contest......But I saw lots of beautiful people and Congratulations to The Gal that took the Crown...I couldn't take it all in really...Next year I hope to be there both days...

Thank you again everybody...you made my day...the new sealed beams lit up the Highway very well coming and going back...Gas was expensive yes but was down enough to help out...

I ran 24psi in the front and rear bias plys and that gave the Ole Hotrod less drag and more roll...no death wobble...just a number of hard hits pounding Henrys finest here and there...no Deer, just a Coyote on the shoulder.., one disintegrated truck tire chunk hit at near 60mph didn't damage anything though...

Maintenance was limited to wiping the windshield of breather cap oil mist between fillups...

I changed the oil before the trip and maybe lost a third of a quart mostly on the window...but I'm sure I helped keep the highway from squeaking too...

I was mentioning to Jeff that although I'm not a religious man I felt like Moses parting the Red Sea on the way home...like coming to the Show it was quite solitary, the trip back somewhat equal once the Jams were passed...500 or so miles with about 13hrs at the show...

All the Service Centres were open along the Highway so gas and snacks were easily available...

There were several Photographers I met throughout the day...Please if your reading this feel free to post...I just ask to keep it on topic as there was some out there stuff and I'm okay with it...just not here...

Did anyone know the young Asian Photographer...I spoke with him for a while but failed to ask him his name and to share here...if you know him let him know we would like to see what caught his eye...it's nice to see the younger crowd taking it in...perhaps he's a Hamber already...

I met another Hamber taking pics with his son that was taking things in...He had a T Roadster on the go...he also was generous enough to locate a tasty refreshment from 32 Ford Chris...dayuum that was good...If you're again here by all means share some stuff with us...Every photographer dances to a different tune...but as you know variety is the spice of life...

Thank you Jeff and Team...maybe next year we have a Hamb Meet and greet spot...I'd like that...

You didn't have the A-Bone but you sure delivered the Jam...Pleasure Chatting @ModelAPunk and congrats on being a Dad...I'm sure they'll have fond memories cruising around Gig to Gig in an Old Model A...

Thanks for the Goodie Bag @Jeff Norwell...that is one of my favorite sport coupes on that issue of Rod & Culture...I'm eating candy, Sockets a good size...the missus loves pens and stickers...Motorama 2023...bags, check...
