What's the big deal ? It's not going to fall apart, or magically disintegrate..! It's not going to push fuel into the water or something... If you are looking for a nice blower manifold, put the money down..! It looks like a fairly nicely done casting. Mike
Mike, I think these intakes are a nice looking piece, has to be a BUNCH of work and money invested in this endeavor, I know if I was looking for a 471 intake I'd jump on one of these. The odd thing is the length and expense that our Aussi brothers go to to just to get their parts home when they buy at swap meets here in the U.S.
Hi These intakes are a very nice quality product made here in Australia by myself and Keith Sutton. Here are photos of some other parts I make.
Question - I've yet to do a 4-71 project but have just recently become more than curious I know a guy running an early 4-71 on an 8BA so are early and later 4-71s compatible with your manifold ? I'm guessing the screws or mounting may be different I'm not sure so asking
For those who cant get hold of Jerry Hopkins in Texas and are needing a set of Aussie contacts for Elco Heads (Terry Wills and Keith Sutton), try here: website: http://www.oldtimespeed.com.au/ cell phone: +61 408 289 302 email: classic@netspace.net.au that FaceBook thingy: https://www.facebook.com/Old-Time-Speed-2183752224998830/ their other US distributor: Roadster Supply Company raymroadstersupply@gmail.com (714) 583-4118 Stanton, Ca 90680 Cheers, Harv
The main difference in later intakes vs early intakes later use less mounting bolts and have a provision for oil tube in front.
