If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, I would love to flatter him by doing this for my (decidedly non-famous) roadster.
Yup I had the privilege of laying out this little magazine for Bob.. A fun project for sure. Need to add a Concourse page now.
What a treat it was to get to hang out with Bob and the crew and watch a Texas boy show the society crowd how it's done. What a fun time we had! @Jive-Bomber, I didn't get to meet you, as you were obviously busy judging the car, but it was cool to see you in person and put a face with a name.
Side note: Bob was super stoked to find out the McMullen Roadster was going to be at the show as well. Ian and Tom had lived together for a short period and were good friends and club members together. The two cars haven't been together in 50-ish years, so Bob was excited to get the two together. At the end of the show, we took the liberty of parking them together and recreating the Astronauts record album...although Bob wouldn't let any of us sit on the fender....the hicks descend on Pebble Beach. LOL
There was an awesome vintage pic of a fella in Blue 32 Roadster in a Country scene with a Horse and a lovely lady...no porn just a really cool shot...was it this Hotrod? I'll see if I can find it... Owning a historical ride carries some pretty heavy ions that's for sure... Thanks @Jive-Bomber
thanks to everyone for the kind words and to all of the very important people that made this happen its a dream come true
