Has anyone seen this done to a Model A head? The two small holes are threaded. Water pipe?

Ed Winfield (not Gene) often coined America's first hot rodder , Model T racer, cam grinder and builder of the 180 degree crankshaft " there's no replacement for displacement" was his famous quote

I've seen flatty V8's with an extra water hose ported into the back of the block to try and get the hot stuff out of there faster. Maybe that's what somebody did to that Winfield head?

I’m going to say heater hose as well and cool head. So what’s the skinny on the top head with the fins ,I love fins!

Winfield realized early on that lettin all the water out the front meant that the rear cylinders ran hot...

Looks to me like it was run in a pietenpol air camper, since they rain the engine front to back, they added a coolent outlet at the rear of the head to run that smaller hose to the radiator
