Saw several 32 Fords at a North Cal show that had stainless bar in center of grill from top to crank hole. Are these available from a vendor or an old accessory item? MantuaJohn

If it looks like this it's a Pines Winterfront aftermarket unit from the 30's.

8CDAC087-9A6A-429F-BB5E-A820AD568A03.jpeg Here’s the way I did it . I used the s/s hood hinge for a 32 Ford . I attached 10/32 s/s machine screws to the back side and made small U shaped brackets that fit over existing grill bars, bolted it on with locking nuts . If you’re talented with a tig welder (I’m not) you could also weld the bar to the s/s 32 surround , file and finish .. one note some 32 grill inserts have a slight bow towards the top , not all , and aftermarket I don’t believe there is a bow to them . If yours has the bow the bar can be bowed to match by carefully , gently running through an English wheel . Hope this helps .....
