Great news I’m picking it up on Labor Day weekend. I’ll snap some pics on the trip. Thanks for all the comments. 3B93AB77-0B50-4A1E-84CD-47716E390B46.jpeg

I'd be all over it, but I'm a Mopar nut. Good luck.

Looks like just a plain serial number. The “P” probably means Plymouth.
Someone who knows Mopar Vins should chime in.

My high school car. White with blue interior and a blue top. It was an Indy Pace Car replica without the decals. The original owner was a young lady who received it as a high school graduation present from her father, a local Plymouth dealer. By the time it p***ed to me, for $750, it had rust in the rear wheel wells and the 383 was running on about 7 1/2 cylinders. Nice looking and quite heavy. Gas was about 50 cents a gallon in 1972, so filling the cavernous tank for about $10 didn’t seem that bad. You will enjoy it.

The Fender tag on the left front inner fender will provide the major options (Color, interior, engine, etc etc). The broadcast sheet will show everything if you have it, usually found under the rear seat or taped under the glove box insert.

If you can read the tag or get a good picture of it I can decode it, same with the broadcast sheet.

Adjusted for inflation...$10 in 1972 is equal to $71 today. Just a couple years ago..I could fill up my truck...22 gallons at $2.59, or about $57. Gas was as cheap recently as it ever was during the hot rod glory days.

Neat car by the way....I wouldn't have been as patient as you.

I try to be the voice of reason on here sometimes when some other dudes are like the third base coach just waving you home, but even I'm with them on this one. That's a great car, and an enclosed box is a huge ***et. This really isn't a debatable issue. Go get that car ASAP.

Very nice! The total opposite of what the bottom of most of my cars have ever looked like.

Beautiful Sport Fury, love the color combo, congratulations. The Poly 318 can be an interesting engine too, not quite the dog the later LA318 was. Enjoy some top down cruising. The engine turn in the molding looks beautiful too, looks like all the hard stuff is there and the car is well built. You may be shocked about what nice driving and cruising cars these are on the open road, the MoPar C-Body always drive nice.

Thanks for the photos. It looks like nicely optioned but definitely not over the top with the 2 barrel, manual windows, and standard brakes. Looks like a nice restoration by looking at the plating on the cap screws under the hood. Engine looks fresh or highly detailed..great that it can stay in the family.

  30. The undercarriage looks great!someone painted it body color, correct me if I am wrong but I thought Chrysler Jefferson just primered the undercarriage with traces of overspray here and there.
