Who/what would be the best place to have a 32 axle dropped. A reliable shop with a good reputation? Was it "Moore Drop Forge" years ago...?

Okie joe. Dropped two 32 axles for my pops and I. One was 2” and the one in the picture for a 26 T roadster is 2-1/2”. 8517E2DE-0257-4CC6-BAC7-DA8449315C8C.jpeg

I've had several 32 axles dropped by Greg Haynes/Anson Axles. Check his instagram page for lots of pictures. PH. 530-537-9322 In my opinion he's the best.

It was Mor-Drop, in Oakland, CA. Mr. Moore was the orig. owner/operator, but sold the business to Marty Costello around, 1967? Marty continued it into the '80s (?) but retired, sold the equipment to some younger guys.
I saw the door open 3 years ago, sign's still up. Marty used to haunt the swap meets for dropped axles, selling them as 'Mor-Drops'.
I bought a NEW Mor-Drop for my '36 in 1956, $10.95 exchange, American Auto, San Jose...

I've never had him do one but it looks like Jack Fuller does a nice job. Fullers Frame & Axle

Andy Kohler - @thunderbirdesq is on the east coast and he drops lots of axles. Super knowledgeable, great communication, and work is fantastic.

I wanted my 32 dropped and narrow as possible to fit my build. Andy, without hesitation, is someone I would recommend.

Andy has done two axles for me. One a 32, and one 34.

  15. Steve, Andy Kohler is the closest to you. I know the time is short, but if you and Andy could arrange it, I could bring the axle to you for the Fall Out if Andy could get it done by Carlisle, or Hershey time.

Jack Fuller did the 36 axle in my 39. He did a great job and has a killer profile. He still does them but he is Semi retired, you may have to drop it off and pick it up from him at his shop in Norfolk VA. @thunderbirdesq in Pa is who i would send it too. He does killer work and shipping to him from Mass would be way cheaper. he has dropped all the axles for all the guys in my club. Killer work.

Nostalgia Sid Drapal did mine, and for a little extra he bent the steering arms to match and installed new kingpins/bushings and reamed them. Saved me a ton of time on installation on my 39. Good people. IMG_3435 (1).jpg
