Hello folks, i have a question for everyone. I have a 40 chevrolet master sedan thats missing some stuff. the main part in question is the panel that goes under the hood above the fender. Im trying to find it but dont know what its called. Hood extension, fender filler, hood side? Please help.
Hood side panel is what I think you are referring to. A picture showing what you're describing would help.

Panel, hood side, group 8.001 (not shown in the picture in the parts book, of course) http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/parts/1929_41/41cp200.html
Can we call it tim ? I know the one pic is for Buick , but does it have the part in question in the break down ? if you can point it out maybe we can find it that way . Pics man we are a very pic friendly group here . @squirrel beat me by seconds !!
It's as mentioned a fixed Side Hood Panel...is what it is...see @squirrel's offering...not to mention the valuable link
Hamb classified a good place to start Wasted...you have chosen a Model and year that you won't loose your shirt paying for stuff maybe just your hat or a sock... Have fun with it...whats the plan? Hotrod or Custom...These Chevys do both well...
sorry i unfortunately have to work and then the wife got sick so i just got back to this. i appreciate everyones help
The plan is to do a custom but not to custom as its actually the wifes and she wants to do most of the work
https://www.streetsideclassics.com/vehicles/3381-atl/1940-chevrolet-sedan I just had a snoop around and found this...while OT inside the exterior finish and stance is pretty pleasing...check the link for more... This one while a 39 is another fine example of stance, shoes and color... Have fun with it...
