Hey all, Got back into the assembly of the 430 Lincoln motor that I have on the stand-- and had a goal of getting all together this weekend. PROBLEM: I'm missing both the crank woodruff keys (cam gear and harmonic dampaner keys.) QUESTION: Are these keys the same as other Ford motors? Think they could be available locally somewhere (im in San Jose?) Thanks, -scott noteboom
if i remember correct the hardware store there in town has them. forget the name OSH maybe? with the garden stuff in front. back with the nuts and bolts there's one of those plasic drawer things with woodruff keys in it. i got one for an ancient craftsman table saw i was putting back together. gary.
no luck on the oddball woodruff key for this crank. It's a 3/16" wide x 1 3/4" long key and i tried Osh and a local engine machine shop to no avail. Also swung by Yorgatron's house and even with all his stuff, we couldnt find a match (George-- no matter the case, it was great to meet you and i still owe you one, so swing by my place anytime.) Guess i'll try to find a parts house that specializes in Lincoln stuff to order... Thanks for the help, -scott noteboom
