Just sharing some crappy cell phone pics I took of a few of the great hot rods and kustoms from the Gasket Goons-Hot Rod Bash in Springtown, PA.
Would somebody please explain to me how it is that every time I see a “modern “ gasser I always think they might fit in at Half Moon Bay or Lions 60 years ago.
There was some really nice stuff there, this was just a small sampling. I tried to take the pics early before the crowd got too big and then its tough to take pics. That Bonnie was definitely one of my favorites.
Gasket Goons put on a great show, very well organized with a laid back feel to it, it was my first time attending one of their shows, i'll be back next year. Lots of great cars there, felt very honored to take home "Best Custom" with my 54' Bel Air
Congratulations on the win! First time for me at the Gasket Goons show too. I agree they do a great job on the show. Ran into some old friends plus met some great new car folks too.
Thanks for the photos Shep! Great turn out. I got there around 9:45 and my entry number was 830! Took a looong time to walk the show.
Great pics! Thanks for the overview. Kinda nice seeing Jacks roadster still on the town. Always was a good running nailhead there. I really miss not getting to the shows anymore.
It was my second time to the Gasket Goons show. They have a great turnout of cars, and a small, but good flea market, too.
My cousin from PA emailed me some photos of this event. Said there were over 1100 cars there. Lots of HAMB friendly ones and entrants were supposed to be pre '62, and they tried to keep out muscle cars, Mustangs, and all new stuff. This COE really does it for me but then I'm partial to Big Ass Trucks.
The show was actually advertised as '69 and prior cars and trucks. There were definitely muscle cars and older mustangs at the show but a lot of the vehicles were HAMB friendly. As stated it was a very well run show with a nice assortment of vehicles.
