Technical Name this piece

  1. Hello folks, i have a question for everyone. I have a 40 chevrolet master sedan thats missing some stuff. the main part in question is the panel that goes under the hood above the fender. Im trying to find it but dont know what its called. Hood extension, fender filler, hood side? Please help.

  3. Hood side panel is what I think you are referring to. A picture showing what you're describing would help.

    I know the one pic is for Buick , but does it have the part in question in the break down ?

    if you can point it out maybe we can find it that way .

  8. The piece in question is the gaping hole above the fender and below the hood from the cowl forward

    It's as mentioned a fixed Side Hood Panel...is what it is...see @squirrel's offering...not to mention the valuable link

    If you don’t have them, run without. It will run cooler and you can show off your engine too.

    Hamb classified a good place to start
    Wasted...you have chosen a Model and year that you won't loose your shirt paying for stuff maybe just your hat or a sock...:D

    Have fun with it...whats the plan? Hotrod or Custom...These Chevys do both well...

  17. sorry i unfortunately have to work and then the wife got sick so i just got back to this. i appreciate everyones help
     
  18. The plan is to do a custom but not to custom as its actually the wifes and she wants to do most of the work

    I just had a snoop around and found this...while OT inside the exterior finish and stance is pretty pleasing...check the link for more...

    This one while a 39 is another fine example of stance, shoes and color...
