both the grills are gennie ford, the painted 33 grill has the winters front attatched by a series of clamps.

you can see the difference between the 33 and 34 grill, the 34 has
a ''prouder nose" compared to the 33 along with a number of other
differences, the most notable being a gentle curve on the 33.

what you have is a 33 pines,a reasonably rare item
    none the less.

It's definetly not a English Y model item.

    hope this helps,thommo.

Cool Winterfront Mike, I saw it early on the Bay and p***ed. I guess I'm to infatuated with the stock grills.

    Good Luck with it anyway!!!

It will be interesting to see it on the car - might give it an aero look.

Heck, if it doesn't look good - it'll come off easy enough!

It's actually going on my new 34 5 window I'm building! This car is going to be cool! Hopefully we will finish it in 2 months.

Cool. If the 5-window is half as cool as your 3-window or your '36 truck it will be a knock-out.

Yeah it's going to be really cool. The ch***is is set up how I wish I did my 3 window, the body is channeled just to the bottom of the frame rails, the wheel base is lengthened and the frame is pinched. And a cool *** 348 chevy for the power plant . 18" milk truck wheels as usual and lots of other cool stuff. Oh and its going to have a ton of louvers! Hopefully we can get it done soon!

common guys that grill is pretty darn original...its going to look great once you put a lot of hours to it...(a 32 version was on ebay going for $9000 and the reserve wasn't met!)

Don't forget the hood, the 33 grill won't match up with the 34 hood.
    The hoods the expensive part.

Mike I have one just like yours, and it has little Z-brackets on the inside of the grill where you then attach it to the outside face of the 33 or 34 grill. I can try to get you some pictures to see what I'm talking about. I think I have some pictures of both grills I have on my page. That is if you haven't already figured out how to attach them, since I just ready the posting date of the last entry.....lol

I don't believe they did. I've never seen, or heard of, one.

    I have a very nice original '33 Pines. That's original paint. I'll post a photo here. IMG_8861.JPG
