Can anyone recommend a reliable company to order from for a front end rebuild kit? After 70yrs this car is in need of some love! DDB38F82-7338-4377-BA60-38A7A135791A.jpeg

I used Chevs of the 40s a few years back along with fat man uprights and I’ve been happy with the results

I used Kanter when I did my 52, American made if I remember correctly. Parts were good quality but like all rubber products the last decade, it seems the rubber bushings are all deteriorating much faster than the originals did.

Thanks for the feedback, I greatly appreciate it! Been looking at Kanter and swaying in that direction. I was about to pull the trigger on a Jamco lowering kit with a front end kit. Altho read some reviews that items don’t get sent out, may take months to receive and customer service has been an issue. So this was the reason for the post. Wanted other options as I don’t want to deal with any problems. Want quality parts and want to get them on time. Thanks again folks!

Given the poor quality of new parts and rubber, I would just replace what needs to be replaced.

Ive learned to use polyurethane bushings when available in place of rubber after a couple cars started to dry rot and crack in short order.

Yes, but Corvette also had a sway bar.

  10. My old one had all the parts from Kanter. Drove like a new car. Had fun chasing a guy in a C1 one time through some twisties...............pretty sure the guy had no clue the cars were the same underneath but I had quite a few more cubes ;)

there are few rubber parts on those frontends. the A arm bushings are steel ... the only rubber are tie rod boots and sway bar bushings

Look over at Rockauto. Could not believe they actually listed ball joints.
