Just got my shift knob from Josh in the mail today. It is so friggin kool. I cannot wait till it is in my car. I have to tap it out-thread it now. I am not going to say what it is until I show it at the Primer Nats. Lets just say it is an idea that I gave him and he came through with it in fly'in colors! KNUX!
I agree. Chris 50 won one at the HAMB Drags and its the first time I saw one in person. PICTURES DO NOT DO THESE KNOBS JUSTICE!!! It is so cool, I have contacted chromedRAT about getting my own.
I will have pics of mine on here after the Primer Nats show. I have to keep my word to Josh. Plus, my friggin batteries are dead in my camera anyways!!!!!!!!!
Josh's work just plain rocks. If he ever wants to go global, I'd financially back him in a heartbeat. Doc.
glad ya like your knob, Lee, and thanks to everybody else! just finished the wax clean up work on the rest of the current run right now so i'll finally cast everything in about 5 days, maybe. just taking the afternoon break right now. i tell ya, i love what i do. spent all summer working for myself and loved it. this week was my first week back at school, not loving that so much. let's just say i don't think i want to teach anymore after subbing for going on four years. i'm still going to cast my stuff without a doubt, working on it evenings and weekends until summer. if the aluminum biz stays strong though, i'm thinking about doing that full time. i've got about a hundred ideas i'd like to see in metal. doc, that's a helluva cool thing to think about! thanks guys.
hahaha, DAMN...I wish I had that kind of talent to carve something like that and then cast it...good F'ing work Josh...you should definately go full-time if you can...
I have been telling him that since I met him on the HAMB here. I am still holding it in my hand trying to figure out which car that I am going to put it in? KNUX!
I am waiting for my "Howard " knob I have one of Josh's "pilot's" ,everywhere i go people are awed by his work. plus Josh is a great guy, hope to meet him someday
I talked to him on the phone and he was a real kool kat to talk to. His work is awesome. So you are getting a "Howard" knob along with yer pilot. They are availiable? I thought that one was just the 50/50 or auction piece one off only? KNUX!
Josh your shit rocks dude for the rest of you...I have 2 of Josh's shifterknobs and they havn't yet made the car yet..the wife has them in the house on display. They really are unbeliveably good..I also have a hand carved Tiki Josh did for me!!!!
Josh Never got to say thanks for the skull, not in the truck, sitting on the dresser waiting for its time....
pretty cool that everybody digs my stuff... definitely flattered... the "Mr. Howard" is going to be a HAMB alliance exclusive. they're cast, but i've got alot of work to do before they're fully ready to roll... long night in the shop ahead of me fellas, but seriously, thanks for the compliments...
I had four of his knobs, gave one to my brother, the first firman. One of my sons really wanted the pilot so....Im down to two. Put me in line for one of the Howard knobs when they are available. Mark
sure fellas. siesxseisxseisx, 43 will happen in the next pour, ok? did 1-16 in this run. i'm going to have some pals of mine help me with the wax work in the next run, so it won't take near as long as some folks have been waiting. sun's out though, i'll try to get some pictures of the mummy and WWII pilot.
finally got pictures taken, fellas. i put them on the friday art show at: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=130213&page=2
