Hot Rods 350 chev in 33 / 34 ford pickup

Hi Hambers
Any members out there set up a 350 chev in an 33/34 ford pickup?

Did manage to get motor fitted with the harmonic balancer fitted in behind the front crossmember, or did you mount the motor with the harmonic balancer above the front crossmember?

Im swapping over to a short water pump and single groove puller setup, but without cutting the firewall its an extremly tight fit.

Mine fit with the 3 speed trans in the stock location, Clears the cross member no issues and a 3 groove pulley.

Yes the firewall was altered a bit for the bell housing. But when I got the truck that part of it was cut out already for a Olds engine.

Anthony, that ch***is looks like it belongs under a 50 Merc.

 

anyone else? any pics showing front crossmember and firewall clearance would be greatly appreciated.
