I’ll keep on the lookout, a guy at the Boonesboro Boogie usually has a good selection, plus Somerset has a vendor that has some plates. I recently saw a nice Bourbon County 1950 plate and I believe a Campbell county one. I’m looking for a nice 1970 Rockcastle County tag.
I appreciate that! I'll keep my eye open for a Rockcastle one. There is a guy that sets up at Kyana every year with a good selection, he knows what I'm looking for, and I'll put a bug in his ear for yours.
Original paint 1965 Fayette County KY. This was the original tag for my friends 1965 273 High Performance Dart. (Original Owner, Survivor Dart Charger) We were working on a project together just before he passed, I walked in his garage one day and he had this tag sitting on the car and asked me to run it on my 65 Plymouth. Great hot rodder, I miss hanging out in the garage and building cars with him. RIP Larry.
Hey guys, 50 years of hot rodding/car hobby, I've accumulated a number of vintage license plates...31 to be exact. Some are pretty nice...others need restoration. I'm not a plate collector...so it's time to pass in these on (in one lot) to someone who is. I have no idea what the "market value" of these. or more importantly, what would be a "fair price" for collectors. I've just posted these pics over on the "What is it Worth" thread...any help would be appreciated. Thanks Incidently, the '28 NY plate topper says ENDICOTT. Endicott NY is the home of IBM
So, as stated before, I have a problem. I made a deal on these on Saturday, picked them up today. The seller said they were piled up in an old Coke crate, in an outbuilding that was being demolished.
Nothing for 1950 plates at Boonesboro. The guy that usually has a ton of plates wasn't there, two smaller vendors had some but nothing good.
